He and his brothers, the Keepers, are fiercely protective of their witch, Sienna, and their privacy. Declan wants payback — and some answers. Kate was one of the women but she turned the tables on him, leaving him unrequited and with more questions than answers.
What is Kobo Super Points?
When they meet again, he has the upper hand and the sizzling chemistry between them threatens to explode. Kate steps out of her comfort zone to follow the instructions given her by her dead mother. Meeting Declan again is unexpected but not entirely unwelcome but she hides her feelings, driven by the need to stay save from the wicked paranormals that ruthlessly pursue her. Kate adds an interesting dimension to the Keepers and their elemental witch Sienna; her powers are different and untried by potentially threatening to the natural balance.
Pursued by an evil warlock and his deranged but loyal warriors, she slowly realises her importance and isolation. This is darker than the previous books, and full of twists that mask the real danger that faces Kate, Sienna and the Keepers. Kate is strong, opinionated and courageous.
This is a fast paced, classy paranormal tale, which makes me eagerly anticipate the final chapter in the trilogy, The Keepers; Ethan.
Like this: Like Loading Declan Bennett has zero tolerance for thieves. Look out for my review of The Keepers: Declan next week. This is the prequel to the Keepers series. Sienna Beckham is a powerful witch, and along with her four fiercely protective Keepers, it is her destiny to maintain the balance of nature in this world. Laughter and flirtation await. For something is lurking in the forest… Murder. And no one saw it coming. As a standalone read it is an interesting tale full of sensual tension, paranormal drama and vivid characters. The paranormal elements of this novella are well thought out and the antagonist dark and evil.
The atmosphere created by the author makes reading this story a sensual experience.
We meet The Keepers, Archer, Declan, Ethan and Sarah and explore the dynamic between them and Sienna before discovering why a tragic event in their shared past effects their future actions. This story has additional significance if you read The Keepers: Archer released last year, first. Share this: Tweet. The sexual tension between Sienna and Archer is well written and the love scenes are sensual.

Welcome Rae. What inspired you to start writing, Rae? At first, it was something I did as a child when I needed to escape into my imaginary world where I had control over everything and could just have fun. As I grew older, the need to tell more stories grew stronger. I love it! Was becoming a published author important to you?
T he older I got and the more I wrote, the more I enjoyed it. I had no feedback to work with. So when I finally plucked up the courage to submit my Keepers to a publisher and they offered a four book deal, I was thrilled.

And still is! Are you sad to reach the end, or is there going to be more books in the series? Whilst writing all the books, there was some angst and stress and sometimes tears too! Do you have a special place where you like to write? Do you have a photograph of it to share with us? I l ive on a flower farm in the mountains so my surroundings are so inspirational.
I have a home office which is kitted out with everything I need. And with small children, I might even write beside the swimming pool too. Is your writing process well defined or haphazard? Can you describe it? I had an overall outline for the entire series with certain highlights I wanted to reach — and a whole of blank spaces in between. But those blank spaced gave me room to create as I went along and I think the books turned out better because of them.
Made in Nashville
Sometimes I write quickly and end up with a messy scene which I then have to carefully craft into a stronger one. Other times, I take a step back and plan a little more. Which genre appeals most to you as a writer and why is this? Now I adore the genre as it gives me a lot of freedom to be creative.
Apart from writing do you have any other things you love to do? Definitely reading, movies and TV series! I enjoy the outdoors like waterskiing, hiking, boating etc. I love travelling — anywhere from a camp site to a fab hotel. I like a balance between socialising with friends and family, nights spent at home with my kids and hubby— and also having time alone. In some scenes the connecting thread was missing for me though and more paragraphs would have made the reading more pleasant, especially when there was a jump in time.
This just when they finally seemed to realise what they feel for each other. All the other saw their feelings towards each other first and help to solve this misunderstanding. I just wished for them to find a way to be together and admit their feelings… There were some really sweet scenes in this book and it again shows that finding the right person might change everything!!!

After The Final Chapters
Sinfully Summer sounded like the perfect summer romance, and I definitely can't resist a good summer fling It wasn't quite as light, and breezy as I expected, but it was a wonderful story and Ric and Alexa's story was just what I needed during the bout of rain we've been having lately! It made me laugh, and it definitely made me smile!
The main characters, Ric and Alexa, had some seriously steamy chemistry, and while the Sinfully Summer sounded like the perfect summer romance, and I definitely can't resist a good summer fling The main characters, Ric and Alexa, had some seriously steamy chemistry, and while they constantly argued I actually really enjoyed their back-and-forth bantering, especially when it got a bit heated. They also really complimented each other well. Ric had a really rough past and he needed Alexa's fun side to help him loosen up. I wasn't a fan of Ric always getting so angry with Alexa It may have had more to do with their unresolved sexual tension though because they didn't argue nearly as much later in the story.
It helped explain the characters' motivations, and allowed us to see just how hard it was for them to resist their attraction. It also allowed us to see that even when he was acting tough Ric had a softer side. I also just loved Alexa, she was so spirited and feisty, and I loved her for it! Overall, Sinfully Summer was a wonderful romance with two fantastic characters! They may have butted heads, and you might get a bit frustrated with them at times, but through it all, you will be cheering and just hoping that they get their happy ending I'd recommend Sinfully Summer to those who enjoy summer romances that aren't just flings Sinfully Summer has you head first straight into rich girl drama.
This has you thinking that it is going to be another spoilt rich girl, boring party book. It is so not like that. It is classy and totally deserving of your time.
Following bolshy but strait-laced pap favourite Alexa Green on a girly holiday in Marbella, we watch how she unexpectedly ends up blackmailed into working alongside Spanish millionaire and hotel chain heir Enrique Castillo planning a fund-raising event. As a volati Sinfully Summer has you head first straight into rich girl drama.
As a volatile and sexually frustrated relationship blossoms between the two can they get a long for the charity event they're organising or will it all come crashing down around their ears? Not only has Aimee Duffy given us a funny and charming read she's also given us a sexy and dark one too.
A perfect combination for us ladies I would most definitely say.
As the plot stays focused on the two main characters and is written flitting from male to female thoughts, it brings just enough depth to allow the story not to get boring as some books written this way end up. It's a perfect summer read and one I recommend in your beach bag this year. Sexy, fun and as hot as the summers sun. Oh how much that face fits perfect to this story. Ladies, I'm sure you'll catch my drift with this ; Jun 04, Erin Maurer rated it it was amazing. Sinfully Summer reminded me why I love Aimee Duffy's work so much.
She writes fun, sexy stories, the chocolate ice cream equivalent of the literary world. As with Never Say Never, this book was spicy, sweet and oh, so sexy.
